I am Adam Walker, the CEO and founder of L.R.L Education Ltd. I hold Qualified Teacher Status and have a BA(Hons) in Secondary Education. I have 15+ years of experience teaching Maths in Mainstream Secondary Schools. Additionally, I have gained the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership for my projects on raising pupils attainment. I have extensive experience in secondary school education including working with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds, those who have learning difficulties or are otherwise disaffected.

Throughout my 15 years in teaching I have had the pleasure to work in a wide range of schools and have gained a wealth of experience of helping pupils make progress. I have developed myself into a high-level teacher holding responsibility for developing others and improving the progress of some of the most disadvantaged pupils in the country. 

I was inspired to join teaching during my own turbulent childhood where I was supported by 3 fantastic teachers - Mr Thomas, Mrs McEwan and Mrs Spencer - who showed belief in me, gave me confidence, helped me have high aspirations and gave me the tools to be successful. 

I decided to start LRL Education because I want to be able to positively influence the life-chances of children who are disaffected by their school lives. My experience in mainstream education means I understand the challenges faced by schools with the growing number of pupils with SEND, trauma and those who are disadvantaged. We have developed a provision that allows us the time and space to meet these needs for the benefit of the pupils in our care.

Additionally, a great concern to me is that the gap between SEND, CLA and PPG pupils and their peers is widening within schools. My passion is engaging disaffected pupils. I believe that providing personalised tuition, quality enrichment activities and opportunities for developing confidence, communication and resilience is the perfect recipe to set pupils on the path to long-term success.
